Quest Products, LLC, [and our affiliates] ([collectively,] “Quest Products,” “we,” or “us”) collect[s] and process[es] personal information when you access and use our websites, products, and services (collectively, the “Quest Services”), or otherwise interact with us, including through our customer feedback programs, via third-party platforms, and customer support channels. Please see our Privacy Policy for more details about our information practices and the privacy rights and choices available to you.

This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy supplements our general Privacy Policy and applies to personal information that constitutes “Consumer Health Data,” as that term is defined under Washington’s My Health My Data Act and Nevada’s SB 370. We refer to these laws together as the “Consumer Health Data Laws,” and this policy applies only to individuals who are protected by such laws.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will revise the date at the top of the policy. If the changes are material, or if otherwise required by the Consumer Health Data Laws, we will provide you with additional notice of updates, such as by sending you an email.

What Consumer Health Data Does Quest Products Collect?

Depending on which Quest Services you use and how you use them, Quest Products may collect information related to your health, such as in connection with products you purchase from us, information you choose to provide in community support groups we moderate like the Thrive Program Facebook Group, in product reviews, or through customer support channels. Some of this information may be considered Consumer Health Data under the Consumer Health Data Laws. We collect this information directly from you.

How Does Quest Products Use Consumer Health Data?

We use Consumer Health Data to provide the products and services you request, including to fulfill your orders and to communicate with you. We may also use Consumer Health Data to prevent, detect, protect against, investigate, and respond to security incidents and fraudulent or other malicious or illegal conduct and to preserve the integrity and security of our products and services.

How Does Quest Products Disclose Consumer Health Data?

We may disclose the categories of Consumer Health Data described above to provide you with the products and services you request. For example, we may disclose Consumer Health Data to service providers and vendors (also known as “processors” under the Consumer Health Data Laws) that need access to such data to perform services on our behalf, such as to assist with cloud storage, manage user accounts, and to provide us tools we use to communicate with you.

Quest Products does not “share” or “sell” Consumer Health Data, as those terms are defined under the Consumer Health Data Laws.

How Can You Exercise Your Rights?

 

Quest Products offers a host of privacy rights and choices to our users, which you can review in our Privacy Policy.

If you are covered by a Consumer Health Data Law, then you have the following additional rights:

  • The right to confirm Quest Products’ collection of Consumer Health Data about you and to access such data;
  • The right to request that Quest Products delete Consumer Health Data about you; and
  • The right to review and make or request changes to Consumer Health Data about you.

In addition, you have the right to opt out of the collection Consumer Health Data at any time by ceasing to use the relevant Quest Products offerings and contacting us at customercare@questproductsinc.com to request that we close your account. You may exercise your rights by submitting a request to customercare@questproductsinc.com or by calling our toll-free number at 800-650-0113. Please note that we may take reasonable steps to verify your identity in connection with the request. If we refuse to act on your request, you may appeal such decision by following the instructions we provide in our response.

Under Consumer Health Data Laws, you may also have the right to withdraw consent for certain uses of the Consumer Health Data and to obtain a list of third parties and affiliates to whom your Consumer Health Data has been “sold” or “shared.” Quest Products does not engage in such activities. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide you appropriate rights.

Jeff trained as a scientist at Amherst College where he earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and then at the University of Washington where he earned a further degree in materials science and mechanical engineering. After working as a chemist at the start-up Rocket Research Corporation, he entered law school and obtained a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Washington and then studied patent law at the John Marshall Law School in Chicago.

Jeff co-founded the patent law firm Graybeal Jackson Haley in Bellevue, Washington, from which he retired in 2006. As a patent lawyer specializing in start-up companies, Jeff helped many inventors develop their inventions and build successful businesses.

This unique combination of scientific, entrepreneurial, and legal experience allowed Jeff to function as product inventor, founder, chief scientist, and CEO. Jeff developed and patented the best remedy for xerostomia, XyliMelts for Dry Mouth. He founded a company to take it to market, set up a factory and modified machines to manufacture it, handled US sales, and set up distributors in Canada, UK, Germany, Norway, Netherlands, Hungary, Australia, Bangladesh, Korea, Taiwan, and China. Then he sold his company to Quest Products where he is a Vice President for R&D and Medical Device Regulatory Affairs.

His first introduction to Health Sciences was working part for a summer in the laboratory of Dr. Andy Anderson professor of Microbiology and chair for Oregon State University Microbiology Department. Later he worked as a production formulator for All Bright Products, Inc., producing consumer products and learning process design.

This background served as a foundation for his working for Tec Laboratories, Inc starting in 1989. Where he served in many different areas of the company including, Operations, Quality Control, New Product Development, process and facility design. During this time, he received more than 5 years of tutoring in compounding for Dr. Mark Christensen who taught pharmaceutical compounding at OSU. Vernon served for 9 years as a Board member and 3 years on the finance committee for Cascade Employers Association. Through the years he has started several small companies including Hipster Logic LLC, which developed custom software and operating systems.

Formal training includes chemistry, microbiology, and technical writing. Coursework from ISPE (International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers) is in USP Purified Water System Design, Process Validation, Facility Audits, OTC (Over the Counter) Drug formulation and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices). He graduated from OSU Dual enrollment program in Computer Science with Honors.

He is listed as an inventor on 5 patents and numerous other patent applications.
